Gary Lancaster

Managing Director for Bank of America: IBM

Gary Lancaster is the IBM Managing Director for Bank of America.  Gary is the senior executive responsible for the strategic relationship between IBM and the bank.  The Managing Director builds partnership and delivers innovation that matters through the integration of IBM products, services and consulting at IBM’s most strategic and largest customers. 

 

Prior to assuming this current role, Gary was World Wide Vice President for Sales, IBM Microelectronics.  Previously, Gary was Vice President of Communications sector for IBM Asia Pacific.   He had responsibility for providing customer solutions in the Telecommunications, Media and Utilities industries in five regions across AP.  Gary moved to Asia as Vice President of pSeries, Asia Pacific.  He worked with customers around the world to apply IBM technology to business problems in the Financial Services, Industrial, Communications, Distribution and Public Sectors.   In this role, he created a team to foster partnerships with international systems integrators. Gary joined IBM in 1987 as a scientific and technical specialist assigned to the US Department of Energy National Laboratories.

 

Gary graduated from the University of North Carolina, Asheville with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He is married and has two children.  Gary and his family reside in Charlotte, NC after returning from five years of living in Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China and Tokyo Japan.
